In many threads, articles it is specified which version is your Windows OS running is it 32- bit or 64-bit version. I don’t know what is the difference between them both and how do I know which version is my PC running. If anyone knows the correct answer then please let me know. Thanks in advance!!!

The 32-bit and 64-bitis referred to a way a computer’s processor known as CPU, handles information. The difference is just like a difference between the numbers, the 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.

To know PC is running which version of Windows in Windows 7 or Windows Vista, do the following:

  1. Click on the Start button> right click Computer > Properties.
  2. Under System, you can view the system type.
