From the last couple of days I notice that my laptop is having and whenever I try to login I only see the black screen with a mouse. I scan my system completely with the Norton antivirus but only for 2-3 days it runs well. I again scan it with the other free antivirus program but it wasn’t removed. And now I wasn’t able to run the scan with my antivirus and can’t even able to open the antivirus website. So if I format or erase my hard drive will the virus be completely removed???

Hii Oliver,

YES, you can definitely remove the virus from your laptop. Formatting or erasing hard disk will remove almost any type of virus infection. But, before formatting the hard drive keep in mind, if backups have been made that contain virus, other media or drives connected to the system must have a virus in it. Your laptop connected to another system on a network with a virus, or the virus is stored on other type of software you are using with your laptop. So you need to be careful as your laptop can become re-infected if not properly protected.
