My PC is 4 years old, Windows 7 with the good graphics card as it was sold as a gaming machine and now used for games/watching videos/the internet.

Now for unknown reasons the monitor has suddenly started to make terrible sound frequently. The sound rises and falls and sometimes it stops and again the process gets repeated.

Now it has also started to make noise when its boots up. The static sound can also be seen in my volume control area. Whenever it makes a sound, the green bar jumps a little bit. When I am not doing anything on the computer, it makes small little static sounds that last half a sec. But when I do something on PC like opening a file or visiting the website, it seems to more prone and the sound are a really violent outburst of crackling static.

Generally a glass display type monitor make some unusual noise. Such noise could be of high pitched squealing sound or a high pitched tone.

Most of the times adjusting or moving the height of the monitor solve this issue. You can also try to switch off the monitor and then switch it back ON.

If the problem still exists then, then you have to show your monitor to the qualified technician or replace the monitor.
